The Summer Undergraduate Research Experience in the Professional Studies Division provides research opportunities for students studying accounting, finance, education, exercise and sport science, management, marketing, nursing, and social work.
Students selected for the SURE program spend 10 weeks during the summer engaged in full-time research and intensive scholarship with a faculty mentor. The 2017 SURE Program will be held June 5-Aug. 11. The program provides a stipend of approximately $2,750, as well as standard campus room and board and a 100-meal ticket.
Deadline to apply: Noon, April 3, 2017
The SURE committee seeks applications from students in their first through third year of study at Carthage, and welcomes students from any of the majors offered on campus. Each division evaluates proposals and supports their own faculty and student collaborations. Please make certain you are using the application process of the division that is the primary home of the faculty mentor. Interested students should speak with a project advisor before completing the SURE application. SURE 2017 award winners will be announced in mid-April.
