Student Government is comprised of both elected student senators and organization representatives, which represent a variety of campus organizations. There are also five members of the executive board, including the president, vice president, treasurer, parliamentarian, and the secretary/historian.
Who we are:
Along with the executive board (EBoard), there are five sub-committees within Student Government that serve select purposes. These groups consist of the following committees: budget and finance, forum, student life enhancement, public relations, and programming. Senators and representatives are each assigned a particular committee, with a member of the EBoard also responsible for committee oversight.
Feel free to email any member of Student Government with your questions, comments or concerns. You may also utilize the Student Government email (firstname.lastname@example.org) to reach a member of the EBoard.
What we do:
- Govern and manage student organizations
- Plan the budget for each year
- Allocate special budget requests
- Gain student input
- Resolve issues on campus
- Improve campus life
- Engage in activities with various campus organizations
The senate meets weekly at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays in the TWC 128B and is open for observation by anyone in the Carthage community.
