Judith Schaumberg called the meeting to order at 11:47 a.m.
Harvard Stephens delivered the invocation.
The minutes of April 9, 2009 were approved as posted.
Glenn Miller introduced two new staff members - Elizabeth Young and Steve Kirk.
CONVERSATION WITH THE PRESIDENT
(August, December, February, May)
President Campbell introduced Todd Kelley, Dan Miller, and Kevin Crosby to talk about our new computer operating system.
VICE PRESIDENT FOR ENROLLMENT AND STUDENT LIFE
Brad Andrews reported on enrollment data.
REPORTS OF COMMITTEES
Christine Rener was recognized for her contributions to the College.
Aaron Trautwein announced elections of FEC reps to the Board of Trustees. The nominees brought forward were Aaron Trautwein and Maria Carrig. Motion to close nominations was moved, seconded, and approved. Aaron Trautwein and Maria Carrig were elected.
Curriculum Planning Committee - Richard Sperber
Motion to replace the music theatre emphasis in the music major with a full music theatre major. The motion passed.
The CPC moved five new course proposals as a block. The motion carried.
Richard then presented five topics courses for information.
Budget and Compensation Committee
Cathy Duffy announced the posting of national salary data on the Budget and Compensation website.
CADRE - Christine Rener, Dan Miller, Greg Baer
Greg Baer announced upcoming information on Faculty Learning Communities, Technology Day, and the upcoming re-accreditation process in 2014.
Leonard Schulze proposed to amend the Weekly Schedule of Courses and Activities by the spring of 2010. The proposal was seconded. Discussion ensued. Stephanie Mitchell moved to table the proposal. The motion was seconded. The motion carried.
Pascal Rollet announced that Yan Wang has successfully defended her doctoral thesis.
Stephen Udry announced that Eric Pullin has successfully defended his doctoral thesis.
Erik Kulke announced the annual All-Carthage golf outing.
Tom Groleau announced a farewell reception for Bill Jankovich.
Martin McClendon announced the dance concert.
