After Carthage: Careers in Nursing

A BSN is the gateway to many possibilities that a career in nursing offers.

Nurses provide care in hospitals, clinics, schools, community health centers, long-term care facilities, hospices, and in communities as community health nurses.

The Carthage BSN Program provides the foundation on which graduates can continue their education to become nurse administrators, nursing educators, advanced practice nurses (nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurse midwives, nurse anesthetists), as well as health care researchers. Nurses are now on the forefront of developing health care policy, leading the development of nurse-run clinics and generating other innovations in health care.
