Corinne Ness is an opera singer, jazz singer, vocal scholar, and music theatre professor. She’s also chair of the Carthage Music Department and director of the Music Theatre and Opera Program at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis. Here, she teaches Carthage students how to use all their voices, just as she’s learned to use all of hers.

The Carthage Ensemble AMATI performed “Amati” by Carthage President Gregory Woodward at President Woodward’s Inauguration in April 2013.
In January 2015, students traveled to Spain as part of the “A Journey of Senses in Spain: Music and Cultural Heritage” J-Term study tour. During the trip, they traveled to various cathedrals and performed for congregants. J-Term is a special month-long period of study in January in which Carthage students take innovative courses on campus or participate in study tours to other states or countries.
