The Carthage Chorale is a mixed ensemble that welcomes singers of a wide range of ability and experience. The chorale provides music for Chapel services and other College-wide events and is also active as a concert ensemble. The Carthage Chorale has participated in the Christmas Festival, the Annual Weston Noble Concert, Family Weekend Worship Service, and other events. It is directed by Dr. Peter Dennee, Associate Professor of Music at Carthage.
Approximately two-thirds of the ensemble consists of non-music majors. In its mission to reach out to every member of the Carthage community, the Carthage Chorale explores a diverse body of repertoire that ranges from the Western art music tradition to African-American spirituals to musical theatre. New members are welcome. To inquire about trying out for the Carthage Chorale, contact Dr. Dennee.
