Renee Young-Trego joined the Career Services team in 2017. In her role as the Assistant Director of Career Services, she works with students and alumni as they journey toward a successful career.
Renee hails from St. Cloud, a city northwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of St. Benedict, a Master of Science degree in rehabilitation counseling from St. Cloud State University, and a Master of Science degree in higher education administration from St. Cloud State University. Renee’s experience includes working as a career developer for a nonprofit, focused mainly on marketing transferable skills, developing functional resumes, and employee retention.
Renee’s favorite part of her job in Career Services is meeting with students and talking about their dreams. She looks forward to getting to know the Carthage College community.

Main responsibilities at Carthage
Along with holding student appointments to review resumes and cover letters, explore majors and careers, or talk about plans after Carthage, Renee collaborates with her innovative Career Services team to host engaging workshops for students to enhance their portfolio as they search for internships and employment.

When she is not on campus, Renee teams up with her husband to keep up with their two sons, Everett and Eddison. Renee and her family enjoy spending time by Lake Michigan and exploring all the fun activities in Kenosha.
