Miriam Montes is the Oaks Hall Director and a First Year Advisor. She received her bachelor’s degree from Elmhurst College in 2012 and her Master’s in Higher Education and Student Affairs in 2015 from Indiana University. Most of Miriam’s work has been in residence life, but she is also passionate about diversity. She has done research about the experiences of students of color at predominately white institutions.

Miriam appreciates being a part of a great team of hall directors.
Miriam loves to read books and write poetry in her free time. She also likes yoga, particularly hot yoga in very hot temperatures. Miriam also enjoys singing solo or with others.
