Best college search tip:
“This is your 4-year experience, so make sure you are making your decision with the things you are looking for (not mom, dad, brother, etc!).”
What do you learn from interacting with Carthage students?
“I’ve learned that every student has a story to tell. Carthage students aren’t afraid to take advantage of the things that the school has to offer.”
What do you value most about working at Carthage?
“Working with students at such a life-changing age really makes it a joy to come into work. Our students really want to make a difference.”
“Reading and traveling, and I am an amateur photographer.”
Favorite Carthage tradition?
“My favorite Carthage tradition actually just happened this year! I loved the Midnight Breakfast. On the Sunday before Finals Week, the President joined professors and staff in serving a full breakfast to students in the cafeteria, starting at 10 o’clock. Finals Week can be a super-stressful time, and being able to serve students breakfast and have a good time was really fun and rewarding.”
Favorite TV show:
“The American President and Yours, Mine, and Ours (the original with Lucille Ball and Harry Fonda).”
Favorite sports teams:
“Vikings and Twins! I am really in the wrong state for my two teams.”
What would people be surprised to know about you?
“I am actually very handy. I love home improvement projects, and I just bought a house, so I’m getting a chance to put those skills to use.”
What can you recommend while visiting Kenosha?
“Eat at all the good restaurants! Frank’s Diner is an absolute must. Also, spend some time in downtown Kenosha on the lakefront. It’s a hidden gem.”
