New LMS to be piloted across 65 courses

February 10, 2018

For more than a year, the College has been looking for a new Learning Management System (LMS) to replace e-Learning. After a lengthy search and a thorough evaluation process, I am pleased to announce our new LMS will be powered by Schoology.

This semester, the new LMS is being piloted by 20 faculty members across 65 courses, and you and/or some of your classmates may be in one of those classes. The pilot will help us refine the platform as we prepare for the official campus-wide implementation during fall 2018. More information about this transition will be made throughout the spring semester. Stay tuned!

Special thanks go out to student government who participated in the evaluation process; their feedback was extremely valuable. I am very excited about the new opportunities for creativity in teaching and learning that our new LMS will bring to the campus.
