President Swallow challenges Class of 2018

Senior Class Gift Committee

February 12, 2018

At the beginning of the fall semester, representatives from the Class of 2018 came together to form this year’s Senior Class Gift committee. The purpose of this group is to collaborate with the Office of Institutional Advancement to carry out exclusive senior events and to obtain gifts for the senior gift, the Class of 2018 Endowed Scholarship.

The committee kicked off the year with a Bingo Night at Waterfront Warehouse, and followed that with a Thanksgiving themed event, “Good-Pie Seniors.”

After the success of the first event in October, President Swallow instituted a challenge to the Class of 2018. The challenge is for 218 seniors to make a gift during the 2017-2018 academic year. If this goal is achieved, President Swallow will contribute a total of $5,000 to the senior gift. This total amount is released incrementally at 75, 150, and 218 senior donors.

The committee is excited to announce the completion of the first milestone of 75! Thanks to the efforts of the committee and the seniors who have participated thus far, President Swallow has given $1,000 to the Class of 2018 Endowed Scholarship!

The event for the Class of 2018 takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 15 at Fusion — Kenosha Performing Arts Association.

We hope to see more seniors attend events this spring semester!
