Chicago Continued Learning Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: Submit a 500-800 word essay in which you discuss continued learning after retirement. This may include, but is not limited to, a discussion of any interesting personal beliefs on the topic, institutions that provide lifelong learning for seniors, or why learning is still necessary for retired people.
  • Eligibility: All current college students are welcome to apply.

Try Mattress Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: Read the blog post about the “Mattress for Back Pain” and leave a thoughtful comment on the blog article. Post the article to your social media and then submit a one page essay in which you address the following question: “What should college students know about sleep?”
  • Eligibility: All current college students who are enrolled in at least 12 credit hours each semester are eligible to apply.

A Place for Mom Wisdom Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: Submit a 2-3 minute video in which you address the “Value of Seniors in our lives and the Benefits to Society.” This includes sharing the story of a senior who has inspired you or even interviewing the senior that has inspired you. Be sure to also include how your relationship with this senior provides long-term benefits for society. Check the website for further video instructions.
  • Eligibility: All current undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing a degree in a medical, social science, nursing, or related field are eligible to apply. These students must be planning on working with senior citizens upon completing their degree.

iTechGyan Scholarship Program

  • Amount: $1,000 first, $700 second, $500 third
  • Description: Submit a 150-350 word essay that explains why you should receive the scholarship along with two short videos that 1) showcase recommendations from professors, and 2) showcase your recent projects.
  • Eligibility: All current college students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 are welcome to apply.

Award Bird Scholarship

  • Amount: $500
  • Description: Submit an essay of 800 words OR infographic OR 3-5 minute video on traveling hacks for a college student and how to effectively combine education and travel.
  • Eligibility: All current undergraduate students with a minimum GPA of 2.8 are welcome to apply.

Bay Alarm Medical Scholarship

  • Amount: $3,500 first place, $2,000 second place, $1,000 third place
  • Description: Submit a 500-1,000 word essay in which you address the most important lesson you’ve learned from the senior you work with, how working with seniors have impacted your life and/or inspired you, and how you would encourage others to spend more time with their grandparents or seniors in the community. Be sure to also include a picture of you and the senior you’ve worked with.
  • Eligibility: All current undergraduate students who are involved in community service with the elderly or who participate in care giving duties for an elderly relative are eligible to apply.

Study.com College Success Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: Submit an application in which you include contact and school information in addition to answering why you want to earn a college degree, how it will help you achieve your goals, and the biggest challenge you have had to overcome in pursuing your degree.
  • Eligibility: All current college students are welcome to apply.

Cohen & Jaffe Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000 first place, $500 second place, $250 third, fourth and fifth place
  • Description: Submit your school transcripts and a 500-750 word essay in which you discuss one of the topics listed on the website. These topics include distracted driving, traumatic brain injury, or a situation in your life that has caused you to change your outlook and behavior.
  • Eligibility: All incoming college freshmen are welcome to apply regardless of major.

Adams Air Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,500
  • Description: Submit an essay of at least 850 words in which you address one of the topics listed on the website. The topics are all related to the field of HVAC-R.
