Sorority Spring Recruitment will take place from Monday, Feb. 19 to Saturday, Feb. 25. Women interested in participating in recruitment can sign up at the sorority tables during lunch in The Caf or the Campbell Student Union tables during lunch and dinner hours through Friday, Feb. 16.

Sorority Life is a great opportunity for students to experience sisterhood, leadership, service events, and social events. With a strong focus on academic excellence, many of our sororities also have chapter grade point averages that are above average. During fall 2017, the sororities earned an average of 3.4 GPA for the term!

Recruitment is open to full-time undergraduate students with a second semester freshman or higher class status. Transfer students are welcome! Joining a sorority is an extra responsibility and interested students must meet a GPA requirements of at least 2.0 to participate in recruitment. Most chapters have higher GPA requirements 2.5 or above, and students are encouraged to inquire about requirements at recruitment events.

There is a mandatory orientation session for all women participating in recruitment at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18 in the Campbell Student Union Auditorium. Students will receive more information about this orientation session when they sign up for recruitment.

Students who are unable to sign up during the scheduled times are able to register for recruitment online.

For more information about sorority recruitment, contact Panhellenic Council Recruitment Coordinators: Jessica Soljacich, Shannon Kebisek.

Although fraternities and sororities are student organizations, they are very different from other clubs that are available to students. Choosing to become a member of a Greek organization is a lifelong commitment that only begins in college. As students join fraternities and sororities, they join an organization that creates a bond which will unite them with their brothers or sisters on campus, and throughout the U.S. Fraternity and sorority members find themselves with a high sense of belonging within the Carthage community.

Approximately 20% of Carthage students are members  Greek chapters.

If you have any questions regarding Greek Life, or the process to join an organization, please contact Becky Windberg at rwindberg@carthage.edu or 262-551-5800. Additional information about the fraternity and sorority chapters can be found on the Carthage Greek site.
