Presentation of dances based on First-Year Read to be held before ‘Nimble Attitudes’ performances

The 2017 Dance Theory and Practices course presents unique dance works inspired by and developed from Bryan Stevenson’s novel “Just Mercy” and the First-Year Read experience.

Showings of these works will take place prior to each performance of the Theatre Department’s fall dance production Nimble Attitudes in the lobby of the David A. Straz Center for Natural and Social Sciences. There will be a different pre-show piece presented each date.

Show times are as follows:

  • Friday, Dec. 8 — pre-show performance at 7:05 p.m. followed by Nimble Attitudes at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 9 — pre-show performance at 7:05 p.m. followed by Nimble Attitudes at 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 10 — pre-show performance at 2:40 p.m. followed by Nimble Attitudes performance at 3 p.m.

Pre-show performances are free. Nimble Attitudes ticket prices are $8 for students and seniors, $14 for adults. To reserve tickets, visit the Fine Arts Box Office 24/7.
