The Manhattan School of Music recently added a portrait of Carthage music professor Wael Farouk to a wall of distinguished graduates in its Mikowsky Recital Hall. Professor Wael Farouk portrait is featured on a wall of distinguished graduates from the Manhattan School of Music in the school's Mikowsky Recital Hall.

He is featured alongside School of Music colleagues and classmates Kiril Gerstein, a recent recipient of the prestigious Gilmore Award and the Avery Fisher Award, and Simone Dinnerstein (who will perform at Carthage in February). Others featured on the wall are winners of the Rubinstein, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, and Cliburn competitions.

Prof. Farouk earned a professional studies diploma from the school.
