Psychological Science major Jamie Lloyd ’17 has her sights set on becoming an exceptional counselor!

Jamie Lloyd will graduate from Carthage in May. Next fall, she will attend DePaul University’s Counseling Program where she will pursue a master’s degree with a concentration in school counseling. Jamie is excited about this opportunity as the program is designed for graduate students who want to be strong leaders and passionate advocates for students, schools, and the profession at large.

In an update to the Psychological Science Department, Jamie pointed to an internship with Tremper High School, in which she shadowed a guidance counselor, as an important experience for her. Jamie explained that it was through this experience that she learned the ins and outs of what it takes to be an exceptional counselor.
