The Carthage Choir Return Home Concert will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11 in the A. F. Siebert Chapel.
The Carthage Choir, under the direction of Professor Eduardo Garcia-Novelli will perform a concert upon their return from their European J-term tour in January. The tour includes performances in venues across Europe, with stops in countries like Slovenia, Hungary, and Italy. This is the latest of Carthage Choir’s European tours, which the choir takes every three years. Previously, Carthage Choir has toured through Spain, France, England, the Czech Republic, and more. Prof. Garcia-Novelli, in addition to conducting Carthage Choir, serves many roles in the Music Department, such as chair of the music department and director of choral activities. In addition to many successful tours, both nationally and internationally, Prof. Eduardo Garcia-Novelli had the honor of conducting the choir at the January 2017 WCDA convention. The choir performs repertoire from many different choral traditions, including both sacred and secular music.
