The Carthage Choir “Return Home” concert will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11 in the A. F. Siebert Chapel. The Carthage Choir, under the direction of Professor Eduardo Garcia-Novelli, will perform a concert upon their return from their European J-Term tour.
Their tour included performances in venues across Europe with stops in Slovenia, Hungary, and Italy. This is the latest of Carthage Choir’s European tours, which the choir takes every three years. Previously, Carthage Choir toured through Spain, France, England, and the Czech Republic.
Prof. Garcia-Novelli, in addition to conducting Carthage Choir, serves many roles in the Music Department, such as chair of the music department and director of choral activities. Prof. Eduardo Garcia-Novelli also had the honor of conducting the choir at the 2017 WCDA convention. The choir performs repertoire from many different choral traditions, including both sacred and secular music.
