Time: 7:30pm CST February 22, 2018
Location: A. F. Siebert Chapel
Join us at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22 in the A. F. Siebert Chapel for a performance by New York-based classical pianist Simone Dinnerstein.
Starting with the success of her self-financed recording of Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Goldberg Variations”, Ms. Dinnerstein has gone on to perform in venues such as the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Sydney Opera House, London’s Wigmore Hall. She also has played at a number of less traditional venues as part of the Piatigorsky Foundation, an organization dedicated to bringing classical music to unconventional places. She is the founder of Neighborhood Classics, a concert series to raise money for music education programs in New York’s public schools. Ms. Dinnerstein plays with a subtlety and an expression that takes her work to new heights. She brings a unique and elegant voice to her genre, playing with a thoughtfulness that invites audiences to experience each piece as if it is brand new.
