  • Space

Samantha (Kreppel) Alberts is a Carthage physics alumna.

Samantha (Kreppel) Alberts ’10

Major: Physics
Summa Cum Laude

Samantha is one of the students who started Carthage’s Microgravity Team, which conducts research at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering at Purdue University.


  • Washington

Stephanie Coulis ’08

Major: French
Summa Cum Laude

Stephanie won a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English in France and then went on to receive an MA in international affairs from the Elliott School at George Washington University. She now works as an international business development specialist at IMPAQ International in Washington and regularly travels the world as part of her job duties.


  • Mongolia

Katie Niemeyer '13 is teaching English in Mongolia as a Fulbright Fellow.

Katie Niemeyer ’13

Major: International Political Economy and Economics
Summa Cum Laude

While she was a Carthage student, Katie traveled to Guatemala and Turkey, and worked for a summer at a nonprofit in Tanzania. Katie won a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English in Mongolia and she is now studying with the International Agricultural Development Graduate Group at the University of California, Davis.
