Once each semester the CFS Service Team coordinates a blood drive on campus with the Red Cross. Giving blood is one of the most selfless and live giving acts. If you can’t give, you can always volunteer to check people in or help with hospitality with the donors who just given.
Feed My Staving Children
Once or twice a year we will head to FMSC in Libertyville, IL to package food kits for children throughout the world who are in need. This project is very popular and spaces fill up quickly.
Once a month in chapel we live out to call to make our Faith Active in Love. We will work with other organizations on campus to high light the service they are doing and use our chapel time to be of service. Each September we write cards of thanks. Past active chapels included making plarn for mats for the homeless and folded peace cranes.
Year End Food Drive
2018 will be the second annual Year End Food Drive for the Shalom Center in Kenosha. There is a lot of food that goes unused in our resident halls. Instead of throwing it away the CFS will collect it and give it to those in need in our community. Food must be unopened and can’t be expired.
One Sunday each semester we will go off campus to do a service project during our worship time. Our first Service Service will be on Sunday, October 22 where we will be going to Living Faith Lutheran, Racine, WI to service the Sunday Community Meal.
