Adult Undergraduate Studies Scholarship Competition

Carthage awards five scholarships to adult students. Two full-tuition scholarships are awarded to City of Kenosha residents, and three partial-tuition scholarships are awarded to first-time applicants regardless of where they live.

Full-Tuition Scholarships for Kenosha Residents 

Two full-tuition scholarships, which incorporate all Carthage assistance, are awarded to City of Kenosha residents in recognition of the City’s lease of land to the College for development of The Oaks Residential Village and student parking. New part-time Kenosha adult students, plus continuing Kenosha adult students are eligible. Each scholarship is valued up to $72,450.

Partial-Tuition Scholarships for First-Time Applicants 

Carthage awards three partial-tuition scholarships to first-time applicants. All first-time applicants are eligible regardless of where they live. Kenosha residents who apply for the full-tuition scholarships will automatically be considered for the three partial-tuition scholarships. These 6-credit scholarships are each valued up to $3,150.

On-campus AUS Scholarship Competition 

In early March, finalists for both the full-tuition Kenosha scholarships and partial-tuition scholarships will compete in an on-campus competition. Scholarship winners will receive notification by the end of April. Qualified applicants will also be considered for additional College scholarships and federal financial aid programs.

Mid-February: Finalists are notified
Early March: Finalists compete in an on-campus competition
Late April: Scholarship winners notified

Eligibility

Applicants must be admitted to the AUS program, and possess a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) on previous coursework.
