Each year, Carthage awards scholarships specifically for students in the Adult Undergraduate Studies 7-week and part-time semester programs. Adult Undergraduate Studies Kenosha Scholarship
Carthage awards two full-tuition scholarships to City of Kenosha residents each year, in recognition of the city’s lease of land to the College for development of The Oaks Residential Village, and student parking. The full-tuition scholarships, which incorporate all Carthage assistance, are valued up to $72,450 each. Applications are due Feb. 1.
Carthage awards three partial-tuition scholarships to first-time applicants. All first-time applicants are eligible regardless of where they live. Kenosha residents who apply for the full-tuition scholarships will automatically be considered for the three partial-tuition scholarships. These 6-credit scholarships are each valued up to $3,150.
Irène Kraemer “Starting Over” Scholarship
The Irène Kraemer “Starting Over” Scholarship is given to a current degree-seeking, female adult learner of sophomore or junior standing in the 7-week or part-time semester program who has returned to college to begin a new path in her life. The student should show evidence of a life change requiring her to return to college, a strong desire or need to complete her college degree, a talent or aptitude to complete such a degree, and a passion and appreciation for learning.
Kathy Harris Scholarship
The Kathy Harris Scholarship is given to a current degree-seeking, full-time adult learner in the 7-week program who has demonstrated academic accomplishment and has financial need. Academic accomplishment is not limited to GPA standing but can also refer to specific accomplishments within a course.
