Commencement is a defining moment, not only for students, but for the families who have been there for them along the way.
Gone are the days where the only tangible keepsakes from the event were your photographs and perhaps a video. Carthage wants to help everyone capture the memories, extend congratulations, and keep mementos of a momentous day.
Carthage is more than just a school, it’s an extended family. We want students and family members to feel even more connected as the Class of 2017 walks across Tarble Arena’s stage.
That’s why the College is introducing a variety of ways to Share the Moment. The hashtag for this year’s Commencement is #Carthage17. Use this tag on everything — from tweets, to photos on Instagram and Flickr, to videos on YouTube.
Parents, join the Carthage ’17 Commencement Event to congratulate your student on his or her accomplishment. Students, join to congratulate each other and make plans for after graduation.
The College will be tweeting and retweeting things with the #Carthage17 hashtag. Let us know what you’re thinking as your days as a Carthage student come to a close and a whole new chapter in your life begins. Want to congratulate your son or daughter? Tag it and we’ll retweet it for the whole world to see.
Tag photos #Carthage17 and document the entire experience of graduating, and we’ll share them.
Photos not your thing? Create a video! Tell us about your days as a Carthage student and what they meant to you with a video. Parents, think that a congratulations card is too “old school”? Make a video congratulating (or embarrassing — it’s your choice!) your son or daughter, and we’ll be sure that people see it.
After graduation, join Carthage on LinkedIn. There you’ll find a large network of fellow alumni and a bevy of networking opportunities.
Is email more your speed? You can also email your Commencement photos, with a caption, to email@example.com.
