Majors to Jobs

Choosing a major is a decision that should take healthy amounts of personal reflection, research, and time. Contrary to popular belief, most career fields do not require a specific major, and people with specific majors do not always use them in ways most commonly expected.

A liberal arts education provides a foundation of knowledge bases, skills, and abilities applicable to a number of career fields. Your choice of major should be based on a combination of your future career objectives, interests, and talents. If you need assistance choosing a major, please speak with your advisor or a career counselor.
