Best of Both Worlds
Carthage gives you the opportunities of a city and the beauty and safety of the country. Want some peace and quiet? Our tranquil campus is an arboretum lush with stately oaks and the winding Pike River. Want some activity? Kenosha is a vibrant city with shopping, restaurants, art galleries, theatres, museums, and more.
Easy access to two major metropolitan areas
Carthage is located just an hour south of Milwaukee, and an hour north of Chicago — meaning students have easy access to two of the world’s most dynamic cities. From internationally known art museums to professional sporting events, students can head to the city to explore for a day, a weekend — or with the Carthage in Chicago program, an entire semester. Our students can gain real-world experience while they’re still in school.
Our campus offers breathtaking views of Lake Michigan from almost every building on campus, including many residence hall rooms. Check out #carthageviews on Instagram for images shared by our students, faculty, and staff. Don’t take our word for it, the sunrises here are amazing!
Internship and employment opportunities
You can look forward to internship and employment opportunities with nearby companies such as Abbott Laboratories, Accenture Consulting, Jockey International, SC Johnson, Kraft Foods, McDonald’s Corporation, and Snap-on Incorporated. If you’re thinking about becoming a teacher, many opportunities are available to Carthage graduates within local school systems.
Carthage is located within an hour’s drive of Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) or Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD). Less than 15 minutes from campus, students can jump on the Metra or Amtrak train, or find Greyhound bus service to Chicago.
