    Vance Dalzin joined Carthage College after serving thirty-five years in public education. He served eleven years as a superintendent of schools, seventeen years as a high school principal, three years as an assistant principal, and four years as a history/government teacher and coach. He worked in urban, suburban, and rural school districts. He also taught for several years as an adjunct professor teaching educational leadership courses. He currently serves on the American Association of School District Administrators Journal of Scholarship & Practice Editorial Review Board.

    Dr. Vance Dalzin teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in education. The title of his doctoral dissertation is Exploring The Personal and Professional Characteristics and Experiences of Career High School Principals That Have Shaped Their Career Decisions.
