Rodrick Frazier ’95 currently works as an ERP administrator at Lindsay Corporation. His job requires him to maintain ERP applications for organizations — providing instruction, assistance, and support services to ERP system end-users globally. 

Mr. Frazier also published a personal memoir, “Like a Snowflake: My experience and recovery from TBI, ” about his experience and recovery from severe traumatic brain injury. After the book’s publication, he gave a presentation about his accident, rehab, and recovery to students taking a neurological disorders class at the University of Pacific.

What have you enjoyed most about your career?

“I am able to assist users to have their best ERP application experience.”

How did Carthage prepare you?

“I believe working with students from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences helped to prepare me for what I do today.”

How has your liberal arts education benefitted you?

“I believe working in small teams to get things done in my business and marketing classes directly transferred into the small teams I worked with for multiple employers during my career.”

Why did you choose Carthage?

“I selected Carthage due to my initial impressions from a college visit, its proximity to Chicago, and because I was recruited to play basketball.”

What opportunities were made possible because of your Carthage experience?

“I believe my J-Term experience at Abbott Laboratories helped me get my first job.”

What Carthage professors played a part in your success and how?

“Don Johnson always made me feel good about the decisions I made selecting classes regarding my major and minor. He was very supportive of the decisions I was making.”

What role have the values in Carthage's mission, "Seeking Truth, Building Strength, Inspiring Service — Together" played in your life?

“I am a firm believer that ‘seeking truth, building strength, and inspiring service’ are values I had to have to successfully navigate life after college. I have had my share of ups and downs, but I was most successful when I made the effort to seek the truth, get stronger, and be inspiring.”

What's your favorite Carthage memory?

“One of my favorite memories was being selected to the Homecoming Court and Homecoming King in 1994. Carthage was a friendly campus where we communicated with each other. I learned that communicating with all people is key to creating solid relationships.”

Tips for current Carthage students?

“College days swiftly pass, so it’s important to make the most out of your college experience. Be serious about the classes you take. Share your thoughts and ask questions because we all have different experiences that will teach us more about each other.”
