Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited learn more about the fall 2018 trip to the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. The information session will be held at 4 p.m., on Thursday, March 22, in Lentz Hall room 318. This year’s trip will take place Oct. 4-8.

This information session will share details about how you can join us for a time honored Carthage tradition, and spend a weekend watching world-class theater, and enjoying the culture, food and walks along the river in scenic Stratford, Ontario.

This year’s plays include:

  • Shakespeare’s — “The Tempest,” “Julius Caesar,” “Coriolanus,” and “The Comedy of Errors”
  • Oscar Wilde’s — classic comedy “An Ideal Husband,” new adaptations of “To Kill a Mockingbird”
  • Milton’s — “Paradise Lost”
  • Musicals — “Rocky Horror Show” and “The Music Man.” (We also have scheduled backstage and costume warehouse tours!)

This trip is open to all and multiple scholarships are available for students, including two full scholarships — one is reserved for a freshman! The cost for a student attending the Stratford Shakespeare Festival is $475. That price includes all tickets, transportation, and hotel.

If you can’t come to the session, but are interested in attending, please email Professor Maria Carrig.
