Carthage hosted the Racine/Kenosha Finance and Investment Challenge (FIC) Bowl for the second year in a row. This year’s event was held on Dec. 5. The FIC is a competition among local high school teams to promote increased financial literacy in a fun and educational setting.

Fourteen teams competed this year. Teams from East Troy took first and second place in the Championship bracket, and both East Troy  teams will represent the region at the May 23, 2018 State Championship Tournament in Milwaukee. A Tremper team took third place and Indian Trail Academy triumphed in the Consolation bracket.

Thank you to Rocco Rasnic, Joe Godlevske, Dan Pauscher, Kyle Friberg, members of the football team and students in International Finance, as well as Vince Coletti, Sara Voss (Red Hots dance team), Emily Swanson and Kevin LeFaivre from International Finance who volunteered as scorekeepers and judges. Mike Michaud and his team took care of logistics, the Office of Admissions provided lunch and a lunchtime greeting, and President Swallow was on hand early to welcome the students, their teachers and other community volunteers to Carthage.
