In coordination with this year’s Arts and Creativity Festival, Carthage’s visual arts organizations, Kappa Pi and Artists Anonymous, will host the second annual 24-hour Draw-a-Thon. The event takes place in the Campbell Student Union and begins at 4 p.m., on Friday, March 16. The Draw-a-Thon concludes at 4 p.m., on Saturday, March 17. This event is open to the public.
All Carthage students are invited to enter their outstanding research paper about a historical issue or event in the competition for the 18th Annual Bailey Award. The deadline is Friday, April 13. The winner will be announced at the Honors Convocation, and the winner will receive a $100 prize.
Submissions for the 2018 Chapin-Tague and Juanita Jones awards in creative writing and the D’Souza prize for prose are now being accepted. All entries must be submitted by Wednesday, March 28 to Prof. Rick Meier in the box outside Lentz 214. Entries forms are available on the door of Lentz 214.
